If Skubal weren\u2019t on the mound, there\u2019s no question the Blue Jays would be favored — not listed as +170 underdogs. Detroit\u2019s only win since the All-Star break came with Skubal starting, a narrow 2-1 victory. Still, Toronto is the better team right now, and everything is clicking. The Blue Jays have won 7 of 8 and are swinging hot bats, making this plus-money spot too hard to ignore.<\/p>\n

On the other side, Gausman has quietly been excellent. He\u2019s gone 2-0 over his last 5 starts, giving up just 8 earned runs across 30 2\/3 innings. While he\u2019s not the reigning AL Cy Young favorite like Skubal, this shapes up as a strong pitching duel.<\/p>\n
