The Boston Red Sox<\/a> look poised to make the postseason for the first time since 2021. And one MLB analyst believes they\u2019ll have a lengthy run into October. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey are going to the World Series,\u201d Mark DeRosa said, via MLB Network\u2019s X account<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Boston has a 74.8% chance of making the postseason and a 2.6% to win the World Series, according to FanGraphs<\/a>. <\/p>\n

DeRosa, who was named Team USA\u2019s manager for the 2026 World Baseball Classic, has been high on the Red Sox of late. He praised the team recently for extending baseball\u2019s top prospect<\/a>, Roman Anthony<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cI love what the Boston Red Sox are about,\u201d DeRosa said recently on \u201cMLB Central.\u201d<\/a> \u201cThis, probably to most fans, looks like an absolute steal, and I think Roman Anthony\u2019s got a chance to win MVPs. He is special.\u201d<\/p>\n

Going into Monday\u2019s game against the Houston Astros<\/a>, the Red Sox are 65-54 and hold the second American League Wild Card spot. They\u2019re 2\u00bd games in front of the New York Yankees and four games back of the first-place Toronto Blue Jays. <\/p>\n

The Red Sox also have the AL\u2019s best run differential with +84.<\/p>\n

There is still a lot of baseball left to be played and the Red Sox control their own destiny. They still have some question marks when it comes to their rotation and are coming off back-to-back losses for the first time since last month. <\/p>\n

The Red Sox can get back in the win column on Monday, but it will be no easy task against the AL West-leading Astros. <\/p>\n
