A former Boston Red Sox pitcher made his comeback to baseball Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The Kansas City Royals announced they signed Rich Hill<\/a> to a minor league deal. The 45-year-old will report to Surprise Stadium before joining Triple-A Omaha. If Hill plays for the major league team, he would tie Edwin Jackson\u2019s MLB record for most teams played at 14.<\/p>\n Hill spent the first half of last season coaching his son\u2019s little league team in his native Milton, Mass. The veteran played for the Red Sox<\/a> in the final stretch of the year, where he recorded a 4.91 ERA and five strikeouts in 3 2\/3 innings.
