Wednesday has arrived, which means a full 15-game slate of Major League Baseball action. The fun starts this afternoon, when the Padres<\/a> take on the rival Giants<\/a>. Later, the Cubs<\/a> and Blue Jays<\/a> are set to clash in a battle between World Series contenders. As a nightcap, the Freeway Series concludes between the Dodgers<\/a> and Angels<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s plenty of ways to get in on Wednesday\u2019s games with DraftKings MLB Pick6<\/a> fantasy baseball selections before tonight\u2019s contests!<\/p>\n

Trea Turner more than 1.5 total bases<\/p>\n

Unlike in years past, the Phillies<\/a> haven\u2019t had one of the league\u2019s deepest lineups. Instead, they\u2019ve relied upon a select group of stars en route to their NL East-best 69-50 record. That includes Trea Turner, currently enjoying another solid season at the plate. Through 117 games, the shortstop is slashing .282\/.339\/.427 with 12 home runs, 52 RBIs, and 26 steals. <\/p>\n

Hitting atop this loaded Philadelphia lineup, there are usually ample opportunities for Turner to produce. That might not be the case on Wednesday against the Reds<\/a>. Cincinnati will welcome back ace Hunter Greene, making his first start in over two months due to injury. Although the fireballer is one of the sport\u2019s top arms, he might be a bit rusty tonight. It helps that Turner has gone 5-for-13 against Green throughout his career (.385 batting average). A hit or two wouldn\u2019t be a shock tonight.<\/p>\n

Gavin Williams more than 17.5 outs<\/p>\n

In the span of just a few weeks, the Guardians<\/a> are within striking distance for a playoff spot. Leading this remarkable turnaround is starting pitcher Gavin Williams. The right-hander has always been talented, but this most recent stretch might elevate him into ace status. Over his last six outings, Williams has notched a 1.63 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 41 strikeouts. <\/p>\n

Tonight, Cleveland will take on another surging club in the Marlins<\/a>. However, the Fish aren\u2019t an offensive juggernaut; the team is averaging the 13th-fewest runs per game in baseball (4.27). Miami has only scored 40 runs over its last ten games, the league\u2019s tenth-lowest total. Williams has tossed at least six innings in five of his last six appearances. Another lengthy outing is more than likely on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Anthony Volpe more than 0.5 hits<\/p>\n

Few players have had a rockier 2025 season than Anthony Volpe. Between inconsistent hitting and subpar defense, New York\u2019s shortstop has been a frequent punching bag for fans. With that being said, it looks like the 24-year-old is beginning to turn things around. Over his previous 15 games, Volpe is batting .241 with four homers, ten RBIs and four steals.<\/p>\n

Those numbers alone aren\u2019t enough to back the former Gold Glove winner. That\u2019s especially true against Twins<\/a> ace Joe Ryan. However, Volpe has had plenty of success in this spot before. Over nine career at-bats against Ryan, he\u2019s tallied five hits (.556 batting average). With a loaded Yankees<\/a> lineup driving up the pitch count, Volpe should earn a base hit or two tonight.<\/p>\n

Hunter Brown more than 6.5 strikeouts thrown<\/p>\n

In spite of numerous injuries and an inconsistent lineup, the Astros<\/a> remain one of the American League\u2019s best squads. That\u2019s due in large part to the emergence of Hunter Brown. After a strong end to 2024, the right-hander has continued to blossom into an ace. Through 136.1 innings of work this season, he\u2019s posted a 2.51 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 160 strikeouts. Over his last three starts, Brown has surrendered a total of four earned runs (2.08 ERA).<\/p>\n

Even for the best pitchers, tonight\u2019s matchup presents a challenge. The Red Sox<\/a> enter Wednesday averaging 5.07 runs per game, the league\u2019s fifth-highest mark. Still, when these clubs met on August 1st, Brown tossed seven innings of one-run ball. In addition, Boston hitters have recorded the most strikeouts in baseball when playing on the road (605). Expect Houston\u2019s elite arm to generate plenty of punch outs tonight.<\/p>\n

Jurickson Profar more than 1.5 hits + runs + RBIs<\/p>\n

This season has been filled with bad luck for the Braves<\/a>. One of Atlanta\u2019s earliest setbacks came in March, when offseason signing Jurickson Profar was suspended 80 games due to PED use. The outfielder is finally back in action, albeit too late to help his club reach the playoffs. In 39 games played, he\u2019s slashing .234\/.341\/.416 with six homers and 16 RBIs.<\/p>\n

Profar, while flawed, is a proven difference-maker. Hitting towards the top of Atlanta\u2019s lineup, he\u2019s protected by slugger Matt Olson as well. Tonight, the Braves will take on Mets<\/a> starter David Peterson. The All-Star has been terrific for most of the year, but he does have some weaknesses. Throughout his career, right-handed batters have a .734 OPS against the southpaw. Keeping that in mind, a productive evening could be in the cards for Profar.<\/p>\n

J.T. Ginn more than 2.5 earned runs allowed<\/p>\n

The Athletics<\/a> have assembled an impressive collection of hitting talent. Unfortunately, a lackluster pitching staff has kept the club near the bottom of the American League. Fortunately for A\u2019s fans, things are starting to look up on the mound. One of the arms that has stepped up recently is J.T. Ginn. The reliever-turned-starter has become a valued member of this young pitching staff. Over his last five outings, the right-hander has notched a 3.80 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 20 strikeouts. <\/p>\n

As good as Ginn has been recently, he\u2019s got a few flaws. The most notable is his inability to pitch at Sacramento\u2019s Sutter Health Park. When throwing at home, the 26-year-old has recorded an atrocious 5.54 ERA. Tonight\u2019s opponent, the Rays<\/a>, aren\u2019t pushovers on offense. Tampa Bay is averaging the league\u2019s 12th-most runs per game (4.45). It\u2019s not difficult to envision three runs being scored off of Ginn on Wednesday. <\/p>\n
