One week remains in the 2025 SEC baseball\u00a0regular season<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the\u00a0SEC Tournament<\/a>\u00a0in Hoover, Alabama, MLB released its list of the\u00a0top 150 prospects<\/a>\u00a0for the 2025 MLB draft.<\/p>\n

Among the prospects, Tennessee infielder Gavin Kilen<\/a> ranks No. 15 overall. He is the No. 9 infielder on the list and No. 2 second baseman behind Texas<\/a> commit Kayson Cunningham.<\/p>\n

“With outstanding hand-eye coordination, a quick left-handed swing and feel for the barrel, Kilen continues to excel as a contact hitter,” Kilen’s scouting profile says<\/a>. “He tends to swing too often and chase breaking pitches, sometimes putting pitches without much authority and rarely drawing walks.”<\/p>\n

Kilen was originally drafted by the Cardinals out of high school in 2022. He played his first two seasons in college at Louisville where he earned All-ACC third team honors in 2024.<\/p>\n

Kilen has recorded a .368 batting average with 56 hits, 34 RBIs, 14 home runs, 23 walks and six stolen bases with Tennessee.<\/p>\n
