Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino said there\u2019s \u201ca good chance\u201d that Kyle Bradish starts Tuesday night against the Red Sox at Camden Yards.<\/p>\n
Bradish hasn\u2019t pitched for the Orioles since June 14, 2024, before undergoing Tommy John surgery. He\u2019s completed an injury rehab assignment.<\/p>\n
\u201cStill working through that,\u201d Mansolino said of his pitching plans.<\/p>\n
Tyler Wells has one more start to make on his assignment, staying with Triple-A Norfolk for Wednesday\u2019s game in Gwinnett, and he\u2019s going to join the rotation after Sept. 1. He won\u2019t go to the bullpen.<\/p>\n
Wells hasn\u2019t pitched for the Orioles since April 12, 2024. He also had an elbow-reconstructive procedure.<\/p>\n
\u201cEverything\u2019s feeling great,\u201d he said. \u201cJust popped up here for the weekend, visit the family and see them. But everything\u2019s going really well. Arm\u2019s recovering well. Everything feels good. Been working closely with the guys down there and the pitching coaches up here, and just really happy with where everything\u2019s at.\u201d<\/p>\n
First baseman Coby Mayo is in tonight\u2019s lineup after X-rays on his right hand last night came back negative. Mayo was drilled by a 97.2 mph fastball in the ninth inning.<\/p>\n
Jeremiah Jackson is in right field. Samuel Basallo is catching, Dylan Beavers is in left field and Vimael Mach\u00edn is at third base after homering last night on his first pitch with the Orioles.<\/p>\n
Dean Kremer makes his 26th appearance (25 starts) and carries a 3.97 ERA in 147 1\/3 innings. He shut out the Astros over seven innings Sunday in a 12-0 win, allowing only three hits and striking out seven.<\/p>\n
Kremer held the Mariners to one run over eight innings in his previous start. He\u2019s registered a 3.23 ERA since the All-Star break and a 2.14 ERA this month.<\/p>\n
The Astros would prefer to avoid Kremer, who\u2019s 4-0 with a 1.47 ERA and 0.845 WHIP against them.<\/p>\n
Astros right-hander Cristian Javier made only his second start of the season Sunday against the Orioles in Houston and allowed one run in three innings before leaving with an illness. He has a career 2.10 ERA and 0.896 WHIP in seven appearances against the Orioles.<\/p>\n
Gunnar Henderson is 1-for-9 with six strikeouts against Javier.<\/p>\n
