The Texas Rangers scored four runs while the Cleveland Guardians scored three runs.<\/p>\n

With the Rangers unveiling a bronze statue of their living legend, and with Elvis Andrus on hand to do kid brother stuff, there was plenty to smile about before the game even started. And it got even better when Shin-Soo Choo showed up for pregame festivities.<\/p>\n
Now among that pantheon of lasting franchise memory-makers is Nathan Eovaldi. Eovaldi was electric again for Texas as he continues to have a season unlike any we\u2019ve seen from a Texas starting pitcher.<\/p>\n
Of course, the game wasn\u2019t without its 2025 Rangers-i-ness, as they coughed up Eovaldi\u2019s lead immediately after the ace exited. But unlike most other games this season, Texas made up for it with a walk-off in the ninth.<\/p>\n
Down 3-2 in the last frame, the Rangers got a Wyatt Langford leadoff double, Corey Seager game-tying single, and Joc Pederson redemption double to win it.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s more than likely that it\u2019s a little too late for the team to redeem itself this season. But at least on this night, they won one for Beltre. Who knows, maybe we\u2019ll see a Seager and Eovaldi statue join him out there one day.<\/p>\n

\u201cNathan Eovaldi is at 130 innings as the Rangers play their 130th game, meaning — for tonight at least — his 1.73 ERA qualifies as the best in baseball by almost half a run.\u201c<\/p>\n
Eovaldi reached that mark be allowing just one run in seven innings of work. He allowed four hits, walked no one, and struck out nine. In a season in which he\u2019s been excellent virtually every time out, this was still one of his better efforts.<\/p>\n
Eovaldi didn\u2019t get the win because the bullpen had a hiccup in the eighth but the walk-off allowed them to avoid losing an Eovaldi start for the first time since late June.<\/p>\n
Up Next: The Rangers will play the Guardians again tomorrow with RHP Jack Leiter expected to make the start for Texas against LHP Logan Allen for Cleveland.<\/p>\n
