The Atlanta Braves opened the series on a high note after Friday night\u2019s 4-1 win<\/a> over the Seattle Mariners<\/a>. Chris Sale turned in an impressive start, throwing a dominant 6.2 innings of one-run ball. He gave up just four hits and struck out nine.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Offensively, things started to click for the Braves in the eighth inning, where they plated three runs. Ozzie Albies, Drake Baldwin, Ha-Seong Kim, and Matt Olson each recorded RBI.<\/p>\n

Willson Contreras\u2019 suspension has been reduced<\/a> to four games on appeal. He originally faced a six game suspension for an incident against the Pittsburgh Pirates.<\/p>\n

After returning for just nine games, the Texas Rangers placed Adolis Garcia on the 10-day injured list<\/a> with a Grade 2 quad strain. The move is backdated to September 2.<\/p>\n
