LOS ANGELES \u2014 The Dodgers<\/a> carried over their late rally from Wednesday well into Thursday, bludgeoning the A\u2019s 19-2 in a game that provided relief in several ways.<\/p>\n

After scoring three runs in each of the first two innings, the Dodgers got two three-run home runs in the third inning alone, by Shohei Ohtani and Andy Pages. Ohtani also hit a two-run home run in the fourth, his 15th of the season to tie for the major league lead.<\/p>\n

Thursday was the second of at least four Ohtani bobblehead nights this season<\/a>. Ohtani also homered in the first such game, on April 2, that time in walk-off fashion<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re going going to need to add some more,\u201d manager Dave Roberts joked. \u201cI guess four or five bobbleheads per year isn\u2019t enough.\u201d <\/p>\n

Max Muncy, who homered in his final at-bat on Wednesday, homered again in his first at-bat on Thursday, and also added an RBI single.<\/p>\n

But it wasn\u2019t just home runs. Or the steals by Mookie Betts and Hyeseong Kim in the first two innings. On the Dodgers\u2019 first six singles of the night with anyone on base, a runner advanced two bases (first to third, scoring from second). The Dodgers entered Thursday ranked third in the majors by taking the extra base 51 percent of the time<\/a>, relative to a league average of 42 percent.<\/p>\n

It was a veritable parade around the bases.<\/p>\n

The game was so lopsided, so early, that Betts, Freddie Freeman, and Andy Pages were out of the game by the fourth inning, having already batted three times each!<\/p>\n

A\u2019s starter Osvaldo Bido was knocked out after allowing six runs while getting five outs. They turned to Jason Alexander to get as many outs as he could, and he got them through the fourth inning, but allowed nine runs along the way.<\/p>\n

The Dodgers had no such problems on the mound, buoyed by recent reinforcements. Matt Sauer started and allowed two runs in his four innings. Anthony Banda provided a bridge with a scoreless fifth inning, which cleared the way for Thursday call-up Justin Wrobleski<\/a> to get the final 12 outs, and he did so in scoreless fashion.<\/p>\n
