The Mets \u201cdrew a Citi Field-record\u201d\u202f3,182,057 fans this season, an average of 39,775 that marks a 38% increase over last season\u2019s average of 28,802, according to Anthony Rieber of NEWSDAY. The average was fifth in MLB going into the final week of the regular season. The Mets also sold out 19 games and had 48 of their 80 home games with more than 40,000 in attendance. Reasons for the attendance success include the signing of RF Juan Soto<\/a> that \u201cled to an unprecedented binge of ticket-buying,\u201d last season\u2019s playoff run that \u201cincreased excitement and expectations\u201d for 2025 and \u201ca behind-the-scenes emphasis\u201d by the Mets to listen\u202fto fan feedback while enhancing the ballpark experience. According to filings, the increase in attendance has also \u201cled to a rise in ballpark-related revenue.\u201d Through June 30, the Mets reported total ballpark-related revenue of $146.5M, which is an 11.7% increase over the same period in 2024. The Mets believe that they are \u201cpoised for a long period of success at the box office regardless of how things work out on the field in 2025.\u201d The Mets over the past few seasons have sent out \u201ctargeted surveys to their fans to ask about the Citi Field experience\u201d (NEWSDAY, 9\/25<\/a>).<\/p>\n
