The MLB postseason began yesterday, and if you were under a rock, here\u2019s a rundown of the 4 games:<\/p>\n
Tigers 2, Guardians 1<\/p>\n
The AL Central\u2019s 2 best teams are far from great. One of them had a great offense before the ASB, and one of them had dominant pitching after the break. One of them has Tarik Skubal.<\/p>\n

In a way, Gavin Williams was better than Skubal yesterday. That way: He should have allowed zero runs. But the Guardians got #AllCute and decided to put a bunch of giant right-handed batters in the field behind him. They made errors. They cost him a pair of runs. Did I mention that these RHB also don\u2019t hit very well?<\/p>\n
Those errors were made by Rodriguez and Noel, but Rodriguez and Noel weren\u2019t the only Guardians who couldn\u2019t hit the baseball. Steven Kwan hit a lineout 296 feet! Kyle Manzardo slapped a 280-foot single! Nobody else hit the ball further than 225.<\/p>\n
2025 has been yet another year of Carl Willis and his crew sprinkling magic dust on a bunch of pitchers who you didn\u2019t expect to be so dominant. Williams was that yesterday. (We expected this one to happen eventually, but still\u2026) AAAAAnd the crew that develops offense ruined it yet again.<\/p>\n
Money would fix this, but Paul Dolan can\u2019t let anybody know that he has that stuff.<\/p>\n

Cubs 3, Padres 1<\/p>\n
I only caught a couple innings of this game, but the Padres offense looked inept, which I didn\u2019t think was their thing. Suzuki and Kelly homered back to back for the Cubs, who got great pitching from Don\u2019t Let Anybody Know We Could Have Afforded Matt Boyd, albeit only for 4.1 innings.<\/p>\n
Red Sox @ Yankees<\/p>\n
Both teams avoided the asteroid.<\/p>\n
Dodgers 10, Reds 5<\/p>\n
That\u2019s right, Tito\u2019s Reds scored the 2nd most runs of anybody Tuesday but lost. His pitchers allowed 2 homers each to Shohei Ohtani and Te\u2019O Hernandez. Those guys good. Blake Snell was untouchable for 6 innings but gave up 2 runs in the 7th. The LA bullpen gave up 3 runs and still sucks. They honestly could have allowed a lot more.<\/p>\n
