The 2025 MLB season is finally done for the Texas Rangers. Finishing at .500 feels apt for how the season went, wasn\u2019t the worst but it wasn\u2019t a good one either.<\/p>\n
The most important thing they did last week was let Cleveland win on Saturday and killed the dreams of Houston getting to the post season for the ninth straight season.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s quite a few unanswered questions going into the off-season. The biggest one of course, is Bruce Bochy coming back? His three year contract is done but there is a part of me that could see him signing a one year contract to see how next year goes.<\/p>\n
However, that man did sound broken when he did his final radio interview last week. I would not at all blame him for going back into retirement.<\/p>\n
Well right as I finished this recap up, it was announced the Rangers and Bochy have mutually decided to part ways. I will miss that big man in the dugout but after the last two seasons, I\u2019m sure he wished he had been one and done. The Rangers have offered him a front office role in an advisory capacity.<\/p>\n
The next thing the Rangers have to figure out in the off season, the offense. This season was built on sluggers and that didn\u2019t work out. They never really got consistent, steady offense for longer than a week. There was no way the pitching was gonna sustain wins all on their own enough to get in the postseason.<\/p>\n
Speaking of pitching, For the first time ever, the Rangers led the majors in ERA, their pitching was the one consistent aspect of the team the entire six months of baseball. Hopefully that\u2019s something that carries over to 2026.<\/p>\n
