People can call Los Angeles Dodgers fans all they want, but there’s some truth in some of the things they complain about.<\/p>\n

The Dodgers have been killed by injuries over the past few seasons, and if it weren’t for some of the ones they’ve dealt with, they\u2019d likely have more than two World Series rings.<\/p>\n

Injuries have been prevalent once again, and with Tyler Glasnow going down, it remains uncertain what the Dodgers plan to do at the deadline.<\/p>\n

Losing Glasnow for an extended period of time would be the worst-case scenario for this Dodgers team, but it also means that Andrew Friedman will work the phones and do whatever he has to do to make a deal.<\/p>\n

The Dodgers might have the perfect arm available. According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today<\/a>, right-hander Zach Eflin of the Baltimore Orioles could be available if the Orioles aren’t contending at the deadline.<\/p>\n

“If the Baltimore Orioles aren\u2019t a contender by the All-Star break, teams will be pouncing on starter Zach Eflin, reliever Seranthony Dominguez and center fielder Cedric Mullins at the trade deadline,” Nightengale wrote.<\/p>\n

The Dodgers should have a good enough farm system to make a trade for the 31-year-old veteran.<\/p>\n

The Orioles have an elite farm system, too, but it isn’t as strong as it once was.<\/p>\n

If the Orioles are looking for some decent prospects, even if they have to give up a high-profile name in the system, there isn’t much of a reason not to trade for a starter of his caliber given the situation that Dodgers are in as World Series contenders.<\/p>\n
