The Toronto Blue Jays announced that they have continued to improve their minor league system by signing former Kansas City Royals shortstop Lizandro Rodriguez.<\/p>\n

The Blue Jays have been busy trying to improve their farm system lately as they also signed international free agent pitcher Daniel De La Cruz to a minor league deal on the same day.<\/p>\n

The Blue Jays announced another signing they hope will help them improve their farm system and the team’s future as they signed shortstop prospect Lizandro Rodriguez to a minor league deal.<\/p>\n

Rodriguez has already been assigned to the Dunedin Blue Jays where he played in his first game yesterday, finishing the game with a double in 4 at bats and a .250 batting average on the day.<\/p>\n

While this is an incredibly small sample size, hopefully this is the beginning of a long future in the Blue Jays organization and maybe one day this signing will be seen as a turning point in the organization’s history.<\/p>\n

Only time will tell how good of a move this will end up being for the Blue Jays.<\/p>\n
