Rawlings released their Gold Glove finalists for the 2025 season yesterday morning. The Cleveland Guardians saw four player nominated for Gold Gloves.<\/p>\n
Steven Kwan\u2019s presence was undoubted as the left fielder looks to win his fourth Gold Glove in as many seasons. Jos\u00e9 seems to be ever present as a finalist, but with his rocky start at the beginning of the season it was a bit of a relief to see him on the list. Carlos Santana could also get a repeat Gold Glove, having won last year for 1B. His bat may not have been the greatest while he was in Cleveland for this most recent stint, but his defense was irrefutable. It might surprise some fans that Daniel Schneemann was given the finalist nod, but I would have been surprised to not see him on the list. Schneemann\u2019s defense and super utility was a crucial part of the Guardians success this year. It is nice to see a hardworking and dedicated player get the recognition he deserves from outside of the organization and fan base.<\/p>\n

Matthew Boyd (P) and Andr\u00e9s Gim\u00e9nez (2B) were named finalists, and Ernie Clement was given a double nomination at both third base and at utility. The winners will be announced on ESPN on Sunday, November 2nd starting at 8:30PM.<\/p>\n Austin Hedges spoke on his signing with the club for the 2026 season. He expressed his love for the city of Cleveland and his desire to bring a ring to Cleveland.<\/p>\n Naturally fans expressed both their love and disdain for this signing. Its impossible to quantify the intangibles, but when a team is notorious for not wanting to spend money, the willingness to continue to give the same contract to a player like Austin Hedges speaks to those intangibles. After the cities and teams are announced the first WPBL draft will take place presumably in November.<\/p>\n
