After the Toronto Blue Jays blew shockingly blew out their opponent in game one, the Los Angeles Dodgers answered right back with a decisive victory in game two. Now the teams head to Chavez Ravine in Los Angeles with a 1-1 series tie. Despite the history made by the Dodgers in game two—with Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitching a complete game victory—it still feels like this series could go either way.

Making the start for the Blue Jays is the right-handed Max Scherzer. The 41-year-old future Hall of Famer had a down year in the regular season by his own standards. He missed time due to injuries and made just 17 starts with an ERA of 5.19 over 85 innings. However, none of that matters now. For Mad Max this is the stage that matters most. Take him out of the game at your own risk.

Scherzer made his last start during the ALCS against the Seattle Mariners, giving up two earned runs on three hits and four walks over 5 2/3 innings. He also struck out five batters.

On the bump for the Dodgers is the right-handed Tyler Glasnow. Glasnow also missed time to injuries this season, making only 18 starts. However, he was largely excellent when he did pitch. In 90 1/3 innings he posted a 3.19 ERA and struck out 106 batters.

Glasnow has been nearly immaculate during this postseason. He’s made three appearances—two of them starts—and given up just one earned run on seven hits and eight walks. He’s struck out 18 batters in 13 2/3 innings of work.

First Pitch: 6:00 p.m. MDT

Radio: Blue Jays – SN590, Univision TUDN; Dodgers – Dodgers Radio AM570, KTNQ 1020; National – ESPN Radio

The two heavyweights are trading blows.
