Under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/10\/01\/new-rays-ownership-steps-in-amid-ballpark-uncertainty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/10\/01\/new-rays-ownership-steps-in-amid-ballpark-uncertainty\/\">new ownership<\/a>, much \u201cwill be different in terms of lower ticket prices and more options,\u201d such as premium seating areas and all-inclusive packages. The amenities will also be different, including a \u201cnew sound system, an expanded main video board, new video displays behind home plate and by the foul poles, and refreshed suite interiors.\u201d Ticket pricing for next season was reduced by an average of 15% for \u201cmore than two-thirds of seats\u201d compared to 2024, the team\u2019s previous season at Tropicana Field after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2024\/11\/14\/tampa-bay-rays-steinbrenner-field\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2024\/11\/14\/tampa-bay-rays-steinbrenner-field\/\">playing at Steinbrenner Field in 2025<\/a>. The new premium seating areas are near home plate, in the \u201cFieldside Box\u201d area above and beside the dugouts, and in the \u201cChalk Box\u201d area near first base. The \u201cChalk Box\u201d will be \u201cone of several planned areas with all-inclusive food and drinks, and parking.\u201d The Rays are also offering an Opening Day BOGO special. Fans who purchase a single-game ticket for the April 6 home opener \u201cwill get a free ticket to another April or May game\u201d &#8212; with some blackout dates (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tampabay.com\/sports\/rays\/2025\/11\/12\/tropicana-field-single-game-ticket-prices-start-times-premium-seating\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tampabay.com\/sports\/rays\/2025\/11\/12\/tropicana-field-single-game-ticket-prices-start-times-premium-seating\/\">TAMPA BAY TIMES, 11\/12<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-franchises \">TO-DO LIST: In a separate piece, Topkin noted the \u201cmost important item on the new owners\u2019 to-do list is getting a stadium built, and promptly,\u201d as they want it to be ready by 2029. Rays CEO Ken Babby said there is \u201ca lot of work ahead of us.\u201d However, there was \u201clittle else\u201d said about the project, including if they have \u201cnarrowed down sites\u201d or \u201cwhat the timeline is to make a deal.\u201d Babby said, \u201cWe\u2019re doing feasibility analysis on a bunch of sites throughout the region. We\u2019re talking. We\u2019re learning. We\u2019re absorbing information. We\u2019re understanding what\u2019s possible.\u201d Babby said that they \u201care \u2018very confident\u2019 repairs will be done in time for the team to return as planned April 6,\u201d noting the 21st of the 24 new roof panels was installed yesterday.
