It\u2019s fairly common to see celebrities in attendance at sporting events. But on Monday, two celebrities in particular were seemingly hard at work while also getting to enjoy the live action at Wrigley Field.<\/p>\n
Hollywood collided with the sports world during the weekend series between the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field when Alan Ritchson and Maria Sten, stars of the hit drama series Reacher, were seen sitting together at the game with a camera crew closely following their interaction on the Marquee Sports Network broadcast.<\/p>\n
\u201cReacher\u201d was filming in the middle of a live Cubs game at Wrigley \ud83d\udc40\ud83d\udcfd\ufe0f pic.twitter.com\/1797mFSQ0A<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 MLB (@MLB) May 20, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n On the Cubs broadcast, Cubs broadcasters Alex Cohen and Jim Deshaies spoke over what appeared to be Ritchson and Sten filming for the show with a camera directly in their face, which was shared on the Front Office Sports Instagram page<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cYou see the big guy there in the middle, that\u2019s Alan Ritchson,\u201d said Cohen. \u201cHe\u2019s got a camera on him. Maria Sten, the woman with the ponytail in the Cubs hat. They are filming Reacher. Or at least the spin-off to it.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI have seen Mr. Reacher do his thing,\u201d added Cubs color analyst Jim Deshaies. \u201cBeats up a lot of people.\u201d<\/p>\n As Cohen alluded to, it\u2019s unclear whether this scene being filmed by Ritchson and Sten is for the fourth season of Reacher, which doesn\u2019t currently have a release date, or if it is for the Reacher spin-off show centered around Sten\u2019s character called The Neagley Show, which is expected to premiere late in 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n Either way, fans of the Reacher universe can expect to see some Chicago Cubs content in the near future. Though if either of Ritchson or Sten\u2019s characters are Cubs fans, they will have been in for an unfortunate game to watch, as it was the Marlins that came away with an 8-7 victory.<\/p>\n \t
