Dodgers outfielder Kik\u00e9 Hernandez unknowingly suffered a bowel movement during a playoff baseball game, he retold during a podcast released this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Herndandez was appearing on the \u201cCold as Balls\u201d podcast<\/a> hosted by comedian Kevin Hart when the story came up, leading the Dodger to explain that he had been taking an antibiotic for a cracked root canal, which had a side effect of diarrhea.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThis point I\u2019m in the game as a designated hitter, getting ready to go in the game,\u201d Hernandez said. \u201cDustin May gets a strike out and I go \u2018F\u2013k yeah!\u2019 and when I did that, I thought I farted. So I go up the stairs to go hit and it\u2019s kind of a different walk than usual\u2026and I\u2019m like alright, gotta try to focus, lock it in and get into it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI struck out in three pitches and let me tell you, I\u2019ve never been happier to strike out in my life.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Though Hernandez didn\u2019t mention the specific game during the podcast appearance, he did provide more detail in a social media video posted by the Red Sox<\/a> in 2023, where he also told the story.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The incident in question occurred during the 2020 playoffs while he was playing for the Dodgers, though he didn\u2019t reveal what round it had occurred in.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hernandez has played in the major leagues for 12 seasons, spending nine of them with the Dodgers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

His MLB stops have also included the Red Sox, Astros and Marlins.\u00a0<\/p>\n
