{"id":436762,"date":"2025-11-18T00:45:12","date_gmt":"2025-11-18T00:45:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/436762\/"},"modified":"2025-11-18T00:45:12","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T00:45:12","slug":"giants-prospect-antonio-jimenez-fighting-for-his-life-after-car-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/436762\/","title":{"rendered":"Giants prospect Antonio Jimenez fighting for his life after car crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A San Francisco Giants prospect is in the intensive care unit of a Dominican Republic hospital following a motor vehicle accident that claimed the lives of three people in San Pedro de Macor\u00eds in the wee hours of Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Antonio Jim\u00e9nez, 24, was taken to the hospital after he suffered fractures in the femur and spine, and several lacerations from an accident that involved an SUV colliding with two scooters in front of telecommunications company Altice, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DRKMMe6kTnA\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">local outlet conexion23com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Full details on the accident remained unclear, but the Giants confirmed the incident in a statement to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/sport\/mlb\/article-15299339\/mlb-antonio-jimenez-giants-crash-dominican-republic.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Daily Mail on Monday.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:0.66699219;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"37693244\" width=\"394\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/GettyImages-2200626202.jpg\" alt=\"Antonio Jimenez of San Francisco Giants.\" class=\"wp-image-37693244\"  \/>Antonio Jimenez of the San Francisco Giants.
