MLB Insider Thinks So"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Los Angeles Dodgers, fresh off of a World Series win, still have plenty of work to do on their roster, and could look to make some trades instead of addressing their issues in free agency.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/news\/trade-candidates-for-each-mlb-team-ahead-of-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MLB.com\u2019s Mark Feinsand<\/a> listed a trade candidate for every team in MLB this offseason, and believes backup catcher Dalton Rushing is the most likely Dodger to be shipped out this offseason.<\/p>\n<p>More news: <a href=\"https:\/\/dodgersnation.com\/dodgers-tyler-glasnow-named-top-trade-candidate-by-mlb-exec\/2025\/11\/29\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dodgers\u2019 Tyler Glasnow Named Top Trade Candidate By MLB Exec<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Rushing played 53 games in 2025, though slightly underperformed with a bat. He posted a .582 OPS with a batting average just north of the Mendoza line to go with his four homers and 24 RBIs. Rushing is firmly below All-Star catcher Will Smith in the Dodgers\u2019 pecking order, so relocation is among the options for him to find consistent playing time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRushing was the Dodgers\u2019 No. 1 prospect in 2024, and while he underwhelmed at the plate in a backup role in 2025, he remains one of the top catching prospects in the game,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/news\/trade-candidates-for-each-mlb-team-ahead-of-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Feinsand wrote.<\/a> \u201cWith Will Smith locked up through 2033, Rushing\u2019s long-term fit on the roster remains unknown.
