Kyle Tucker<\/a>, widely regarded as the top free agent available this winter, was reportedly seen visiting the Toronto Blue Jays<\/a>\u2019 spring training facility in Dunedin, Florida on Wednesday, according to FanSided\u2019s Robert Murray. <\/p>\n

The American League champion Blue Jays are just over a month removed from a devastating World Series loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> and have showed interest in many of the major free agents on the market, including Tucker. <\/p>\n

Tucker, a 28-year-old outfielder from Tampa Bay, is coming off a All-Star 2025 season with the Chicago Cubs<\/a> in which he hit .266 with 22 home runs and 73 RBIs over 136 games. He also produced a .377 on-base percentage and a .841 OPS alongside 25 stolen bases. <\/p>\n

Tucker missed time near the end of the season due to a left calf strain. <\/p>\n

The left-handed slugger spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Houston Astros<\/a> where he was named to three All-Star teams and was a significant contributor in their 2022 World Series championship. <\/p>\n

Tucker only appeared in 78 games during his last season with the Astros in 2024 before being traded to the Cubs in the off-season. <\/p>\n

In his lone season in Chicago, Tucker helped the Cubs win 92 games, but were eliminated in the National League Wild Card by the San Diego Padres<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tucker also won his second career Silver Slugger Award in 2025. <\/p>\n

The Blue Jays, who won a surprising 94 games in 2025, have been busy since their Game 7 heartbreaking loss in Toronto, signing former Padres star right-hander Dylan Cease<\/a> to a massive seven-year, $210 million contract, the largest deal given to a pitcher in franchise history. <\/p>\n

On Tuesday, they signed righty Cody Ponce to a reported three-year, $30 million contract. <\/p>\n

The 31-year-old last pitched in the Majors in 2021, but spent last season with the Hanwha Eagles of the KBO, posting a 17-1 record with a 1.89 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and 252 strikeouts in 180.2 innings, en route to winning the league\u2019s MVP award.<\/p>\n

Despite the apparent significant interest in Tucker and the money already spent by the front office, the Blue Jays haven\u2019t closed the door on the possibility of bringing back star infielder Bo Bichette<\/a>, who has spent the last seven years in Toronto. <\/p>\n

The Blue Jays have been in the mix for some major free agents over the past few off-seasons, namely Shohei Ohtani<\/a> and Juan Soto<\/a>, but have come up short. <\/p>\n
