Austin Wells is a candidate to play for the Dominican Republic, eligible through his mother\u2019s heritage, and general manager Nelson Cruz confirmed on Tuesday that the catcher is under consideration.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have to confirm insurance, all that,\u201d Cruz said. \u201cBut he\u2019s shown interest to be there as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
Team Panama, meanwhile, is also hoping to have Jos\u00e9 Caballero suit up for them.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
