The Milwaukee Brewers<\/a> had a historic regular season, winning 97 games to set a franchise record and finishing with the MLB<\/a>\u2019s best mark in 2025.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the Brewers were swept by the Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> in the NLCS, but the year still represented a significant step forward for the organization.<\/p>\n

A major reason for their success was the play of Christian Yelich, who appeared in 150 games and delivered at the plate. Transitioning primarily to designated hitter<\/a> helped ease his workload and keep him healthy, and it paid off.<\/p>\n

The 33-year-old veteran posted a .264 batting average, a .343 on-base percentage, a .795 OPS, 29 home runs and 103 RBIs. He finished 12th in National League MVP voting.<\/p>\n

As Yelich heads into the offseason, his focus has momentarily shifted away from baseball. His future with Milwaukee remains secure, as he is signed to a nine-year, $215 million contract that runs through the 2028 season.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, he shared some personal news on social media as he adopted a dog named Winston. Yelich even teased that Winston might get his own Instagram account soon. \u201cHow long until Winston has his own account?\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

Yelich has long been known as a dog person, and Winston is simply the newest addition to his growing pack. He already runs a dedicated Instagram account for his dog Cooper, which also features plenty of posts of his other dog Milo. Now Winston will join the mix, giving fans another glimpse into Yelich\u2019s life off the field.<\/p>\n

Christian Yelich Will Continue to Lead Brewers in 2026<\/p>\n

With his offseason life in balance, Yelich will soon turn his attention back to preparing for another run with the Brewers in 2026. Yelich is widely regarded as the face of the Brewers, the player most closely tied to the team\u2019s rise over the past decade. Even though he is past his physical prime, he continues to perform at an elite level.<\/p>\n

The former National League MVP has collected three All-Star selections, a Gold Glove, three Silver Sluggers and two batting titles throughout his 13-year career in MLB.<\/p>\n

Yelich spent his first five years with the Miami Marlins<\/a> before being traded to Milwaukee in 2018. Milwaukee\u2019s hopes of building on its historic 2025 season will once again rest on Yelich\u2019s steady presence.<\/p>\n
