If and when the vote starts trickling much lower, we will wind up the competition and move on to daily Top 100 postings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">So, this win marked Bush\u2019s debut on the ballot, meaning he is just the second player this year beyond No.1 winner Braden Montgomery to win the Vote on his first ballot (also Mathias LaCombe, No. 14). What\u2019s interesting is that while injured players (Bush was out all of 2025 after TJS) usually and understandably slip some in our Vote rankings, Bush this year moved up one slot, from No. 20 to 19. Interestingly, in his ballot debut in 2024, Bush also finished 19th.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">The win makes for 11 of 19 pitching prospects advancing to date. But in the process Gonzalez achieved what is thought to be an unprecedented in-season promotion in the White Sox system, from the DSL to ACL. That says a heckuva lot about what the White Sox think of his talent. The very first pick of Day 2 of the draft was a somewhat curious one, given MLB\u2019s ranking as the 164th-best talent available in the draft and the presence of much more enticing talents (as high as MLB\u2019s No. 35 prospect) passed over on Day 1.
