He\u2019ll join the major league roster and take the place of center fielder <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=youngja03,young-013jac,young-009jac,young-008jac&amp;search=Jacob+Young&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.mlbtraderumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-05-23_br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Jacob Young<\/a>, who\u2019s being placed on the 10-day injured list due to a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder. The Nats already had a 40-man vacancy, so Young\u2019s placement on the IL is the only move needed to get Lile to the majors. Washington\u2019s 40-man roster is now at capacity.<\/p>\n<p>Lile is the second young outfielder summoned to make his MLB debut in as many days, joining prospect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/h\/hassero02.shtml?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.mlbtraderumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-05-23_br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Robert Hassell III<\/a> in that regard.
