Some New Year\u2019s resolutions \u2014 promise, we don\u2019t mean you \u2014 don\u2019t even make it out of January.<\/p>\n

But you can\u2019t fail on them if you don\u2019t make them. So we\u2019re here to help out the Yankees in making resolutions for 2026 as they try to end a 17-year title drought, and given that they do not report to spring training until February, here\u2019s hoping they at least last a little longer than normal.<\/p>\n

I know, I know. Easy for me to say, given that it is not my money. And perhaps the Yankees owner has a point when he says it should not take a $300 million payroll to win<\/a> a championship.
