Coming off their first playoff appearance since 2021, the Boston Red Sox<\/a> have been quiet but active in the 2025 free agency period, engaging in talks with several big-name free agents while acquiring depth pieces to strengthen their roster.<\/p>\n

Boston\u2019s recent season featured the breakout of several offensive stars, with rookies Roman Anthony and Marcelo Mayer at the forefront. However, in the wild-card series, Boston found themselves lacking starting pitching options after Lucas Giolito\u2019s elbow issue sidelined him, forcing them to turn to rookie options and Garrett Crochet to carry the heavy load.<\/p>\n
