Darren Bush remains bench coach and director of hitting, while Mike Aldrete and Chris Cron will continue to serve as hitting coaches. <\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Scott Emerson returns as pitching coach, and Dan Hubbs returns as bullpen coach. Marcus Jensen remains quality control coach, and Ram\u00f3n Hern\u00e1ndez will continue as Major League coach and interpreter.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Our 2026 Major League coaching staff! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/iUDJWid2tt\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/iUDJWid2tt<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Athletics (@Athletics) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Athletics\/status\/1986180603654569994?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">November 5, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Athletics also announced the promotion of Josh Cuffe to director of strength and conditioning and the hiring of Terence Brannic as head strength and conditioning coach.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Christenson previously served as the Athletics bench coach from 2018\u201321, as part of 16 seasons with the organization, including five years as a minor league manager and seven seasons as a player.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">From 2022\u201323, he served as bench coach for the San Diego Padres, and he held the same role with the San Francisco Giants from 2024\u201325. The former outfielder was originally drafted by the Athletics in the 10th round of the 1995 First-Year Player Draft out of Pepperdine University, and he played in parts of six Major League seasons with the A\u2019s (1998\u20132001), Diamondbacks (2001), Brewers (2002), and Rangers (2003).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Brannic served as head strength and conditioning coach for the Pittsburgh Pirates for the last five seasons, following a nine-year stay in the A\u2019s organization, including three seasons as assistant strength and conditioning coach with the Major League team from 2018\u201320.<\/p>\n<p>More Athletics content from Sactown Sports<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Athletics have released their 2026 Spring Training schedule, with Cactus League play beginning on Saturday, Feb. 21, when the A\u2019s face the Chicago White Sox at Camelback Ranch. The A\u2019s will play their first home game at Hohokam Stadium in Mesa the next day, Feb. 22, against the Cleveland Guardians.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The A\u2019s will host 16 games at Hohokam Stadium, including matchups vs. the San Francisco Giants (Saturday, Feb. 28), the World Series Champion Los Angeles Dodgers (March 8), and the Chicago Cubs (March 20). From March 7\u20138, the A\u2019s will face the Los Angeles Angels in two split-squad matchups in Las Vegas Ballpark as part of Big League Weekend.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In addition to Cactus League play, the A\u2019s will also play host to Brazil\u2019s World Baseball Classic team on Tuesday, March 3.
