Frank Cairone, a second-round pick<\/a> of the Milwaukee Brewers<\/a> last July, remains hospitalized after being involved in a serious car accident<\/a> near his home in New Jersey on Jan. 2.<\/p>\n

“He’s progressing positively,” president of baseball operations Matt Arnold said Monday, Jan. 5. “The reports we’ve gotten are good.”<\/p>\n

Cairone, 18, is a left-handed pitcher who was selected 68th overall out of Delsea Regional High School in New Jersey.<\/p>\n
