The Atlanta Braves<\/a> continue to look for ways to improve a rotation that\u2019s dealt with injuries and other issues, and Freddy Peralta is reportedly now in the mix to be traded to Atlanta.<\/p>\n

As the pitching market continues to take shape, the Braves’ checking in on ace-caliber arms makes a lot of sense after last year.<\/p>\n

The Braves don\u2019t need him to be an ace with Spencer Strider and Chris Sale, which is another good thing.<\/p>\n

However, the competition is real. Multiple contenders are interested, and that will raise the price.<\/p>\n

The Milwaukee Brewers<\/a> know exactly what they have and shouldn\u2019t be rushed into moving Peralta unless the return is exactly what they want.<\/p>\n

Ken Rosenthal reported that multiple teams are interested in making a trade.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Freddy Peralta talks are about to resume in earnest. Both New York clubs, the Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a>, Atlanta Braves and Boston Red Sox<\/a> are among the teams showing interest. Some low-revenue clubs that can absorb Peralta\u2019s $8 million salary are in play as well,\u201d he wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Braves have prospects to make a deal work, but AA is usually smart with what he wants to give up.<\/p>\n

If these talks truly ramp up, though, Atlanta will have a lot to consider.<\/p>\n
