NBC recently acquired the rights<\/a> to Major League Baseball\u2019s \u201cSunday Night Baseball\u201d package, as well as the first round of the MLB playoffs, for the 2026 season.<\/p>\n

As part of its new baseball studio show, the network is reportedly targeting one of the most accomplished pitchers of all-time: Clayton Kershaw.<\/p>\n

Kershaw, who retired<\/a> after the Los Angeles Dodgers won the 2025 World Series, is a future Hall of Famer and considered one of the best pitchers of his generation. He retired with one MVP award, three Cy Young Awards, and 11 All-Star Game appearances in an 18-year career, all in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

According to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic<\/a>, Kershaw \u201cwould likely work select events if a deal comes to fruition.\u201d<\/p>\n

In his later years, Kershaw was frequently \u201cmic\u2019d up\u201d for live in-game hits, and blended keen analysis with a natural, unforced delivery. He has the talent for the job \u2014 but does he have the time?<\/p>\n
