I\u2019ve always said \u201cwait until Memorial Day to make decisions about a team\u2019s identity.\u201d I say this because anything before runs the risk of small sample size overreactions, either positive or negative. I wrote about this back in 2019<\/a>, and it\u2019s probably fair to revisit it.<\/p>\n Since then, not including the 2020 season, the Colorado Rockies<\/a> have finished:<\/p>\n 2021: 20-34, .370 (finished 74-87, .457) So far in 2025, the Colorado Rockies are 9-42 through 51 games. That\u2019s a .176 winning percentage and with it officially being Memorial Day weekend, it\u2019s officially safe to say that this team is bad (even with their exceptional win<\/a> over the New York Yankees<\/a> last night). However, there is still a lot of time left and it will all be about making marked improvements throughout the year, especially with Warren Schaeffer taking the reins of this young team.
