(KCTV) &#8211; The Kansas City Royals avoided arbitration with six players Thursday, signing contracts for the 2026 season. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Kansas City announced that outfielder Kyle Isbel, infielder Michael Massey and pitchers Bailey Falter, John Schreiber, Nick Mears and Daniel Lynch IV agreed to terms with the club.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Isbel signed the deal after a season in which he was a Gold Glove finalist for the American League in center field.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Massey\u2019s agreement comes after he had career-worsts in several offensive categories and battled injury throughout the 2025 season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Falter and Mears each were recent additions via trade, with Falter arriving to the Royals before the trade deadline last season and Mears being acquired in a trade earlier this offseason.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Lynch IV had a career-best 3.06 ERA in 2025 with a 6-2 record and career-high 57 appearances out of the bullpen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2026 KCTV.
