PHOENIX (AZFamily) \u2014 The Arizona Diamondbacks are saying goodbye to a fan-favorite outfielder as the team continues making offseason changes. <\/p>\n

The team announced on Saturday that outfielder Jake McCarthy was traded to the Colorado Rockies. In exchange, the Snakes received right-handed pitching prospect Josh Grosz.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you and best of luck in Colorado, Jake,\u201d the team posted on X.<\/a><\/p>\n

McCarthy made his MLB debut with the Snakes in 2021. One of his most notable games with the Diamondbacks included his five-hit game on July 27, 2024, against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Over his five MLB seasons with the Diamondbacks, McCarthy finished with 24 home runs and 139 RBIs. <\/p>\n

During the 2025 season, Grosz played with<\/a> the Hudson Valley Renegades, High-A affiliate team of the New York Yankees, and the Spokane Indians, the Rockies High-A affiliate team. He finished with a 5-14 record and a 5.87 ERA.<\/p>\n
