Rizzo Tells His Story<\/p>\nIt\u2019s Sunday, and you know what that means \u2014 it\u2019s time for our weekly social media roundup! The hot stove has, uh, begun to slowly sort of warm up, reaching the temperature of a toaster oven left in the midafternoon July sun this week. That hasn\u2019t kept the Yankees off social media this week, though, as several members of the Yankees family took to Instagram to provide life advice, advocate for good causes, and tell their life stories. Jazz takes in winter sports<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s NHL Winter Classic featured the New York Rangers and took place in Miami, at the home of the Marlins. And so, the NHL, recognizing an obvious marketing opportunity when they saw one, invited former Miami Marlins star and current Yankees second baseman to the January 2nd event, and even mic\u2019ed him up for New York\u2019s game against the Panthers.<\/p>\n
That wasn\u2019t the only sporting event that Jazz attended over the span of a couple days though. On New Year\u2019s Day, he was up north in Brooklyn to see the Nets face the Rockets at Barclays Center.<\/p>\n

This is, technically, a sponsored post, and sponsored posts are generally things I like to avoid on the social media spotlight. Sometimes, though, the story is important. We all know Anthony Rizzo\u2019s story. This week, the Yankees avoided arbitration with all their players. While this seems like a standard bureaucratic affair to most people, for the players, these are contentious moments.
