Chris Bassitt, Lucas Giolito and Zack Littell are the best second-tier options remaining. But adding any of those pitchers will cost more money than Peralta or Gore,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/6940365\/2026\/01\/08\/yankees-pitcher-targets-trade-free-agency\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:he wrote;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">he wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Bassitt\u2019s best ability is availability, as he makes 30-plus starts in each season in his sleep.<\/p>\n<p>With his ability to stay on the mound, he\u2019d truly be a nice addition for the Yankees given the injuries to Gerrit Cole and Carlos Rodon. It\u2019s also safe to assume that another starter will deal with something throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p>That said, the cost in a deal is important here.
