That&#8217;s what <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/mlb\/kansas-city-royals\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kansas City Royals<\/a> star Vinnie Pasquantino wants to know.<\/p>\n<p>Pasquantino recently joined in on some social media banter about Alex Bregman wearing the No. 2 on his jersey because he was the second pick of his draft.<\/p>\n<p>The lefty slugger joked (or maybe was serious) that he wants to be number 319.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">This is why I wanted to wear #319 but 3 digit numbers aren\u2019t allowed <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/iWCyQTbbw9\" rel=\"nofollow\">https:\/\/t.co\/iWCyQTbbw9<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Vinnie Pasquantino (@VPasquantino) <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/VPasquantino\/status\/2010773043727958281?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">January 12, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>MORE:\u00a0<a target=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/mlb\/boston-red-sox\/news\/red-sox-paying-manny-ramirez-same-salary-2026-dodgers-shohei-ohtani\/9feb5f58536757b3ee946c23\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Red Sox are paying Manny Ramirez same 2026 salary as Dodgers are paying Shohei Ohtani<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Pasquantino was that 319th selection in the 2019 MLB Draft out of Old Dominion. That works out to be an 11th-round pick.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s the only player from that round to have accumulated at least 1.0 Win Above Replacement in the major leagues.<\/p>\n<p>Pasquantino has a really funny social media presence, which has to be fun for his fans.<\/p>\n<p>And hey, maybe one of those Royals fans should start a petition. Or at least start selling some self-created Kansas City jerseys with the number 319 on the back.
