But since the latest big-name free agent, Alex Bregman, was inked on a five-year, $175 million deal to join the Chicago Cubs on Saturday, Tucker’s market has begun ticking on the Richter Scale, as a league source has confirmed to Jim Duquette of MLB Network Radio that the Los Angeles Dodgers, Toronto Blue Jays, and New York Mets have met with the outfielder either through Zoom or in-person.

A League source confirmed to me that the three main teams involved in the Tucker negotiations (Tor, LAD, NYM) have all met with the player, either in person or over Zoom, as part of the recruiting process for a star player. Will be interesting to see if any of the 3 teams…

— Jim Duquette (@JimDuquetteGM) January 12, 2026

There has been a wide belief amongst league officials that Tucker will wear the name ‘Blue Jays’ across his chest for the 2026 season on a high-end deal, but the Mets and Dodgers have also made pushes to the outfielder on signing him on a short-term, high AAV deal. Tucker is expected to be marketed in the price range of more than $30 million in AAV earnings.

Tucker and the Blue Jays have been reported to have the most contact between their respective sides, as it was reported in December that Tucker had visited Toronto’s Spring Training facility. The Blue Jays have also gained some leverage in persuading Tucker to sign in terms of the moves that they have made this winter, which include the likes of signing Dylan Cease on a seven-year, $210 million contract, Tyler Rogers on a three-year, $37 million contract, and landing Japanese superstar slugger Kazuma Okamoto on a four-year, $60 million contract.

The chances of the Dodgers landing Tucker are not as slim as some may suspect. Of course, the Dodgers will always leave their mark on any big-time free agent that hits the market, but they have a chance to improve their chances of signing the 2022 World Series winner with one aspect that the other aggressive teams can not.

Per reports by Ken Rosenthal and Will Sammon of The Athletic, Tucker would prefer not to be the center of attention in a lineup. When you mix Tucker in with the rest of the Dodgers’ lineup, if Los Angeles can pick him up, he will most certainly not be the center of attention in the star-studded lineup that includes Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Freddie Freeman, to name a few.

The ball is in Tucker’s court more than ever, and the Mets, Dodgers, and Blue Jays will be actively trying to obtain Tucker’s services for 2026.

LOS ANGELES — All-Star outfielder Kyle Tucker’s free agency has been slow-moving to say the least, with money…

[2406
5,39,29,1165,4332,4333,774,57,3224,4331,4,169,6094
0":"post-517494","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-los-angeles-dodgers","8":"tag-baseball","9":"tag-dodgers","10":"tag-kyle-tucker","11":"tag-la","12":"tag-la-dodgers","13":"tag-ladodgers","14":"tag-los-angeles","15":"tag-los-angeles-dodgers","16":"tag-losangeles","17":"tag-losangelesdodgers","18":"tag-mlb","19":"tag-news","20":"tag-tst-los-angeles
["GET
