The Hot Stove<\/a> returns to the airwaves Tuesday with two hours of Seattle Mariners talk on Seattle Sports from 7-9 p.m.<\/p>\n

Mariners general manager Justin Hollander leads off the show, which is hosted by broadcasters Gary Hill, Aaron Goldsmith and myself.<\/p>\n

After giving a rundown on the new staff members, Hollander goed into depth on the trade for reliever Jose Ferrer<\/a>, what attracted the M\u2019s to the left-hander, and how he will be used in the upcoming season. Hollander also discusses the signing of Rob Refsnyder<\/a> and how a now crowded outfield could shake out. Last but not least, Hollander addresses the current situation at second and third base<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Up next was an extended conversation with the well-traveled Cal Raleigh, who fills us in on what he has been up to this offseason away from the field.<\/p>\n

In looking back at his MVP-worthy 2025 season, Raleigh points to what he believes was most responsible for his success and how he can perhaps share that with others. Looking towards the upcoming season, Raleigh\u2019s preparation is well underway. He shares what aspect of his game has received extra attention this winter and also gives his thoughts on the impact the automatic balls and strike challenge system will have in 2026.<\/p>\n

This year will mark the 50th season of the Seattle Mariners, which will be celebrated throughout 2026. Vice president of marketing and communications Gregg Green joins Gary and Aaron, and there\u2019s plenty to talk about including some of the opportunities fans have to contribute to the celebration, such as voting on the Mariners\u2019 top 50 players.<\/p>\n

Green also shares some dates throughout the season fans will not want to miss, from the get-go. In \u201926, there will be a banner raising, a statue unveiling, another number retirement and the monthly celebrations of each era of the club\u2019s history. Of course there will be promotional nights and giveaways as well, with Greene sharing some details on the bobbleheads. Hint, there may be a cat involved with one.<\/p>\n

Last up is Adam Jude from The Seattle Times that includes a good discussion about F\u00e9lix Hern\u00e1ndez\u2019s Hall of Fame chances, which have taken a dramatic turn in recent months.<\/p>\n
