There’s a chance the Boston Red Sox<\/a> have pivoted entirely.<\/p>\n

Their $130 million signing of southpaw starter Ranger Suarez might be the signal that they won’t be signing a big bat in free agency.<\/p>\n

But if they still want Bo Bichette, their plans are shifting. There’s more competition.<\/p>\n

Kyle Tucker’s signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> has likely fully engaged the Toronto Blue Jays<\/a> again to try and get Bichette back.<\/p>\n

“Tucker\u2019s agreement with the Dodgers could also cause the Blue Jays to circle back with their longtime shortstop, Bo Bichette, who\u00a0remains unsigned as well,”\u00a0MLB.com wrote on Thursday night<\/a>. “Toronto\u2019s chances of re-signing Bichette appeared to be fading as the club ramped up its pursuit of Tucker after\u00a0landing third baseman Kazuma Okamoto. But now that Tucker is no longer an option, it wouldn\u2019t be a surprise to see the aggressive Blue Jays pivot to Bichette.”<\/p>\n

The Philadelphia Phillies<\/a> are still wholeheartedly in on Bichette, too.<\/p>\n

Boston may not have been the favorite once the Phillies (and even the Yankees) entered the picture, but the Red Sox also could feel they have to get a deal done after losing Bregman.<\/p>\n

It’s going to be a fascinating bidding war to watch. Some teams will also be in on Cody Bellinger after losing out on Tucker, but not Boston. The Red Sox have more than enough outfielders.<\/p>\n

If Bichette is still on their wish list, though, they better get to work.<\/p>\n
