Today marks the start of MLB\u2019s 2026 international prospects signing period, and all 30 teams can now start adding top amateur talent from across the world to their systems. Verbal agreements have likely been reached with plenty of them, so we\u2019re likely to hear of numerous prospects signing today even though it\u2019s the very first day.<\/p>\n
The Rockies have a bonus pool of $8,034,900<\/a> \u2014 one of the largest pools in 2026. Additionally, this is the first year of their new front office, so it will be interesting to see what Paul DePodesta et al do during this time.<\/p>\n In 2025, they landed infielder Larry Suero<\/a>, MLB Pipeline\u2019s No. 34 prospect of the class, for $425,000 and shortstop Kamuel Villar for $750,000. Dominican outfielder Wandi Feliz was their biggest contract of the class at $850,000. Previous international signees have included Adael Amador, Angel Chivilli, Ezequiel Tovar and Antonio Senzatela.
