This group of 16 players will likely make up the majority of the signings during the period they will not be the only ones that the club will be making over the next 11 months (the signing period ends on December 15th).

These scouting reports went out to the people who support my work through Patreon on Thursday evening. Early access to some content is one of the perks to being a subscriber there. If that’s something you might be interested in, here’s a link to check it all out.

With that out of the way, let’s jump into the scouring reports on all of the signees. They are listed below in alphabetical order.

Eliezer Arias Scouting Report

Shortstop | B/T: R/R | Height: 6′ 0″ | Weight: 155

Born: November 28, 2008

A shortstop out of the Dominican Republic, Arias is a super twitchy athlete. He’s long and lanky with room to fill out his frame. He has good hands and feet on the infield and shows off plus arm strength. At the plate he has a real quick bat. A little bit of a raw hitter, he could use more at-bats against more advanced pitching but shows the athleticism and tools you want to see.

Daniel Burgos Scouting Report

RHP | B/T: R/R | Height: 6′ 1″ | Weight: 161

Born: December 6, 2008

The Venezuelan right-handed pitcher is already throwing multiple pitches. His sweeping breaking ball is his best pitch. He also throws both a 2-seam and 4-seam fastball. Burgos has a change up, too, but it’s still a pitch he’s working on. He’s athletic, shows an effortless delivery, has starter traits, and is projectable.

Jose Colina Scouting Report

Outfielder | B/T: R/R | Height: 6′ 0″ | Weight: 163

Born: October 29, 2008

The outfielder from Venezuela has a simple and repeatable swing at the plate with good bat speed. Right now he has more gap power than home run power but as he matures he’s expected to develop more pop in his bat. He’s super athletic and should be able to stick in center, though he is likely to see time in the corners with some of the other center fielders in the DSL.

Alexander Cuello Scouting Report

Shortstop | B/T: L/R | Height: 5′ 10″ | Weight: 165

Born: November 29, 2008

A shortstop out of the Dominican Republic, Cuello could see time all around the infield but has a shot to remain at short. He’s a plus runner. At the plate he puts together good at-bats with an advanced approach and shows good pitch recognition skills. Over the last few months he’s started to find home run power in his bat.

Luis Delgado Scouting Report

RHP | B/T: R/R | Height: 5′ 11″ | Weight: 165

Born: November 19, 2008

A right-handed pitcher from the Dominican Republic, Delgado has a chance to be a starter long term. He’s very athletic. The fastball sits 91-92 MPH now and has been up to 94. He shows a really good change up and is developing a breaking ball. Throws plenty of strikes.

Ronny Felix Scouting Report

Outfielder | B/T: L/L | Height: N/A | Weight: 160

Born: October 7, 2008

From the Dominican Republic, Felix is more of a corner outfielder than some of the others from this signing class. His arm is currently a bit below-average, making him a better fit in left field. He currently can spray line drives to all parts of the field but as he continues to mature and get stronger he should develop some home run power.

Carlos Goncalves Scouting Report

Catcher | B/T: R/R | Height: 5′ 9″ | Weight: 176

Born: February 14, 2009

The catcher from Venezuela has a strong, compact frame. At the plate he shows a good swing and has current pull side power and he’s good against a fastball. Defensively he’s solid behind the plate while showing good footwork and he’s got a quick transfer on his throws.

Eider Gutierrez Scouting Report

Outfielder| B/T: R/R | Height: N/A | Weight: 163

Born: November 14, 2008

The outfielder from Venezuela has a chance to stay in center field. He’s an athletic guy who has above-average speed that he can use both in the field and on the bases. His arm strength is above-average and should play well in center or in right field if he has to slide to a corner spot. At the plate he sprays line drives to all fields and should develop more power as he fills out his frame and gets stronger.

Carlos Hernandez Scouting Report

Shortstop | B/T: L/R | Height: 6′ 0″ | Weight: 163

Born: April 11, 2009

The Venezuelan infielder has a good chance to remain at shortstop long term. While he’s not as fast as some other shortstops he’s got a quick first step, soft hands, and quick feet that help him at the position. His arm strength is solid now but should get better as he matures and gains strength. At the plate he’s a bit more hit over power, but there could be some power in the future when his frame fills out some and he adds more muscle.

Gilventon Josephina Scouting Report

Outfielder | B/T: R/R | Height: 6′ 4″ | Weight: 199

Born: December 4, 2008

A big, physical outfielder from Curacao. Josephina profiles more as a right fielder on the defensive side of things. At the plate he’s still a bit raw and he needs to just get more playing time and reps against more advanced pitchers but he’s got the potential to hit and with his size could really develop some power in the future.

Nishentel Meyers Scouting Report

Infielder| B/T: R/R | Height: 5′ 10″ | Weight: 150

Born: October 12, 2008

The infielder from Aruba stands out for his athleticism. Before switching to baseball he had been a tennis player. He should be able to remain on the left side of the infield where he’s got plenty of arm to handle shortstop or third base. He’s athletic enough to move to the outfield if needed. Over the last year he’s made big strides in his physicality. He’s still a bit raw and has a little bit of catching up to do with some of his peers who have more experience as baseball players.

Xander Nolasco Scouting Report

Catcher | B/T: B/R | Height: 5′ 11 | Weight: 165

Born: September 7, 2008

A switch-hitting catcher from the Dominican Republic, Nolasco’s bat is currently ahead of his defense. He’s got sneaky power from both sides of the plate. Defensively he shows promise but will need more reps and experience at catcher.

Angel Nunez Scouting Report

Outfielder | B/T: L/L | Height: 5′ 10″ | Weight: 160

Born: April 7, 2009

A potential 5-tool player. Nunez, born in the Dominican Republic, already shows plus to plus-plus speed and a plus arm. That speed, along with good reads and routes in center give him a chance to be a real difference maker in the outfield.

At the plate he projects to hit for both average and power in the future. He is already willing to use the entire field at the plate. While he has grown into some power there’s more in there as he matures and gets stronger. As mentioned above he’s got big time speed and should be able to utilize it well on the bases.

Diego Pacheco Scouting Report

Catcher | B/T: R/R | Height: 5′ 11″ | Weight: 175

Born: N/A

The Venezuelan catcher sticks out for both his athleticism and his physicality. At 6′ 0″ and 185 lbs. he’s already standing out for his age, but there’s room for him to fill out and get stronger as he matures. As a hitter he had a chance to hit for both average and power. His bat is ahead of his defense at this point, but he’s improved as a catcher recently as he’s gotten more experience. His arm stands out behind the plate. He will need to continue to develop the finer points of catching as he develops, though you can say that about just about every teenage catcher that’s ever played the game.

Juandy Romero Scouting Report

Second Base | B/T: L/R | Height: 5′ 9″ | Weight: 164

Born: September 27, 2008

A smaller guy out of the Dominican Republic, Romero could play all around the infield. He’s got good speed, is a good bunter and can mix the two things together to pick up plenty of hits. He sprays the ball to all fields and he shows good pitch recognition and has a good approach at the plate.

Jose Saldana Scouting Report

RHP | B/T: R/R | Height: 6′ 1″ | Weight: 154

Born: September 26, 2009

The right-handed pitcher from Panama has a chance to be a starting pitcher. He’s lean and athletic with plenty of room to fill out on his 6′ 1″ and 154 lb. frame. His fastball has been up to 92 MPH and has good spin. His curveball is inconsistent but shows 12-to-6 breaking action when it’s on.

The Cincinnati Reds lined up 16 signings this week as they opened up the 2026 International Signing period.…

[2400
69730,69383,5,69731,6160,535,50,4259,69732,69384,69733,69734,69735,69736,69737,69738,69739,4,69740,536,69741,69742
post-525045","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-cincinnati-reds","tag-alexander-cuello","tag-angel-nunez","tag-baseball","tag-carlos-goncalves","tag-carlos-hernandez","tag-cincinnati","tag-cincinnati-reds","tag-cincinnatireds","tag-daniel-burgos","tag-diego-pacheco","tag-eider-gutierrez","tag-eliezer-arias","tag-gilventon-josephina","tag-jose-colina","tag-jose-saldana","tag-juandy-romero","tag-luis-delgado","tag-mlb","tag-nishentel-meyers","tag-reds","tag-ronny-felix","tag-xander-nolasco
["GET
