(QUEEN CITY NEWS) \u2014 The Knothole Foundation in Charlotte celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.\u2019s legacy with a free baseball clinic for boys and girls ages six to 12.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The event took place Monday morning at the Richard \u201cStick\u201d Williams Dream field in west Charlotte.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The foundation\u2019s co-founder says the event provided a fun environment for kids to learn.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"718\" height=\"412\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"rounded-lg\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/ce9fe06275d2068db6fc3d784b211499.jpeg\"\/><img alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"709\" height=\"426\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"rounded-lg\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/f9293f1d9cbdaa0b9eb1fc77f9f0598c.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cComing from a little small town, we didn\u2019t have this kind of stuff to come around to us, and I\u2019m learning more and more day by day, and I feel good to be able to have the kids learn from me,\u201d Co-founder Morris Madden said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Along with the on-field demonstrations, there were also guest speakers on hand to provide inspirational messages about Dr. King\u2019s legacy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
