MILWAUKEE (WLUK) — A pair of hall of famers who had short, but impactful stints with the Milwaukee Brewers will be inducted into the Brewers Wall of Honor<\/a>.<\/p>\n

CC Sabathia and Dave Parker will be inducted May 8, the Brewers announced Tuesday. They will be recognized by a video before that night’s game against the New York Yankees<\/a>. Sabathia and members of Parker’s family will also throw out ceremonial first pitches.<\/p>\n

Players who meet a set of criteria based on service to the organization and career accomplishments are inducted into the Wall of Honor. They are recognized with a bronze plaque on the outside of American Family Field. Sabathia and Parker earned inclusion on the wall by being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n

Sabathia played a half-season for the Brewers in 2008. After being acquired in a trade, he went 11-2 with a 1.65 ERA in 17 starts, including seven complete games and three shutouts. His contributions were a key factor in the Brewers returning to the postseason for the first time in 26 years.<\/p>\n

Sabathia, who played 19 seasons with the then-Cleveland Indians, Brewers and Yankees, was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n

Parker played for the Brewers in 1990, batting .289 with 21 home runs and 92 RBI. He was the team’s lone all-star that year.<\/p>\n

Parker played 19 seasons for six teams, including his first 11 seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
