{"id":532757,"date":"2026-01-22T15:36:18","date_gmt":"2026-01-22T15:36:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/532757\/"},"modified":"2026-01-22T15:36:18","modified_gmt":"2026-01-22T15:36:18","slug":"baseball-prospectus-announces-2026-top-tampa-bay-rays-prospects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/532757\/","title":{"rendered":"Baseball Prospectus announces 2026 top Tampa Bay Rays prospects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">There are some suprises on the list as Baseball Prospectus is much higher on Ty Johnson than other prospect sites (other than our own, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.draysbay.com\/rays-prospects\/86808\/2026-draysbay-community-prospect-list-vote-for-no-6\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ranked Ty Johnson our No. 5 prospect last week<\/a>), most notably Baseball America where he was ranked 22nd.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Some recently acquired prospects have provided some juice to the system: Slater de Brun cracks the top ten and is ranked the highest of any player the Rays acquired in the Shane Baz deal; Michael Forret, also acquired in that trade, is 9th. Anderson Brito, whom the Rays acquired on the same day in the Brandon Lowe swap, is ranked 6th.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Jose Urbina slots in at 10th after being ranked 19th by Baseball America.
