{"id":533857,"date":"2026-01-23T04:24:16","date_gmt":"2026-01-23T04:24:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/533857\/"},"modified":"2026-01-23T04:24:16","modified_gmt":"2026-01-23T04:24:16","slug":"mlb-finishes-investigation-into-ex-giants-reliever-sean-hjelle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/533857\/","title":{"rendered":"MLB finishes investigation into ex-Giants reliever Sean Hjelle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MLB cleared ex-Giants reliever Sean Hjelle after he faced allegations of \u201cabuse\u201d from his wife this past summer, according to a new report.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PavlovicNBCS\/status\/2014420775051341949\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">NBC Sports Bay Area<\/a> reported the league concluded its investigation and that Hjelle will not face any disciplinary action from MLB.<\/p>\n<p>The league\u2019s decision comes after Hjelle\u2019s wife, Caroline, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/06\/21\/sports\/giants-pitcher-sean-hjelle-accused-of-affairs-abuse-by-wife\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">accused the righty of infidelity<\/a>, along with \u201cabuse\u201d in a series of TikTok videos she posted back in June 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen my MLB husband abandons us on Mothers Day a week after this once I finally found out about his affairs and stopped putting up with his abuse so I\u2019ve been raising two boys alone,\u201d she wrote on a TikTok \u2014 which has since been deleted \u2014 which showed her and her two sons.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.42618384;display:block\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"38262063\" width=\"841\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/GettyImages-2227569557.jpg\" alt=\"San Francisco Giants pitcher Alex Wood throws a pitch.\" class=\"wp-image-38262063\"  \/>Sean Hjelle of the San Francisco Giants pitches in the sixth inning against the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park on July 22, 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>In the caption under the video, Caroline wrote, \u201cYeah I\u2019ve had to be silent for too long about this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked about the allegations in June, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/06\/22\/sports\/giants-sean-hjelle-responds-to-wife-carolines-abuse-affairs-allegations\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hjelle said that he did not<\/a> have a comment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t have an official comment right now,\u201d Hjelle told reporters following a game against the Red Sox on June 21, 2025. \u201cI would like to actually talk with my agent, my lawyer. This has been something that\u2019s been going on for over a year now in terms of our relationship and our divorce and our separation and everything.\u00a0 \u2026 I just want to talk to the appropriate people and figure out what the steps are, just kind of taking it stride right now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo no comment right now. I feel confident saying that I will have one eventually.
