At the same time, Carroll, the speedy, power-hitting outfielder, came in at No. 9. The rankings — along with Perdomo’s placement at No. 24– showcase the club’s continued development and its return to a national conversation it once struggled to reenter.

With the duo at the top of the lineup, they have helped evolve Arizona’s style of play. Small ball, contact, speed and power have become synonymous with the approach the Diamondbacks have leaned on over the past several seasons.

Jun 21, 2025; Denver, Colorado, USA; Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte (4) reacts after a double in the fourth inning against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. Defensively, he remains an all-around contributor on both sides of the ball, showing no signs of slowing down.

For Carroll, his rise reflects a fast-tracked learning curve and adaptability. After a historic rookie season, his sophomore year brought challenges. He struggled for much of the year before surging in the second half and carrying that momentum into his third season. Even areas once viewed as weaknesses, such as his arm strength in right field, have shown improvement as he continues to grow into a cornerstone for the franchise.

Aug 31, 2025; Los Angeles, California, USA; Arizona Diamondbacks left fielder Corbin Carroll (7) celebrates in the dugout after hitting a three-run home run during the eighth inning off Los Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Tanner Scott (66) at Dodger Stadium. Rather than relying on a single star, the Diamondbacks have built around a group of strong, elite talents that complement one another. That balance has paid off in clutch moments and memorable wins throughout the 2025 season.

In a division filled with stars and in a market that can sometimes be overshadowed, national acknowledgment of the trio signals that Arizona’s talent is no longer flying under the radar.
