MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, Minn. \u2014 The Minnesota Twins announced that Dick Bremer, former Twins television broadcaster and current special assistant, has been elected to the club\u2019s Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n
Bremer will become the 42nd member when inducted on July 11 as the Twins host the Los Angeles Angels at Target Field.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor 40 seasons Dick Bremer wasn\u2019t just the voice of Twins baseball, he was woven into the fabric of it. His love for the game, this team, and his home state of Minnesota came through every night in a way fans could feel,\u201d Twins President, Baseball & Business Operations Derek Falvey said. \u201cDick\u2019s voice didn\u2019t just describe the moments on the field. Over time it became part of how generations of Twins fans remember summers, pennant races, and unforgettable moments that stayed with them long after the final out. That kind of connection is rare and special. Honoring Dick with his election to the Twins Hall of Fame is a fitting celebration of what he gave to this organization, this community, and everyone who loves Twins baseball.\u201d<\/p>\n
Born in St. Paul and raised in Dumont, Bremer started his Twins play-by-play career in the 1980s. He remained the television voice of the Twins through the 2023 season, earning accolades such as the Silver Circle Emmy and the Herb Carneal Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2024, the home television booth at Target Field was named in his honor.<\/p>\n
Bremer’s induction as a “Veterans Committee” inductee highlights his long-standing contribution to the team and community.
