Former Toronto Blue Jays<\/a> reliever Seranthony Dominguez<\/a> and the Chicago White Sox<\/a> are in agreement on a two-year, $20 million deal, reports ESPN\u2019s Jess Passan.<\/p>\n

The deal is worth $10 million annually and Passan reports Dominguez is expected to serve as Chicago\u2019s closer.<\/p>\n

Right-handed reliever Seranthony Dom\u00ednguez and the Chicago White Sox are in agreement on a two-year, $20 million contract, sources tell ESPN. Dominguez, 31, is expected to close for the White Sox, who use the money saved in the Luis Robert Jr. deal to continue adding this winter.<\/p>\n

Dominguez, 31, was acquired by the Jays from the Baltimore Orioles<\/a> at the trade deadline in exchange for prospect Juaron Watts-Brown as the team looked to upgrade the back end of their bullpen. Dominguez pitched 24 games for Toronto down the stretch of the regular season and turned in a 3.00 ERA, giving him a 3.16 ERA in 67 total appearances on the season.<\/p>\n

He also appeared in 12 postseason contests and pitched in five of Toronto\u2019s seven World Series games. <\/p>\n

A native of Esperanza in the Dominican Republic, Dominguez pitched his first five and a half MLB seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies<\/a> before being dealt to the Orioles mid-way through the 2024 campaign. He owns a 3.50 ERA in 322 career regular-season appearances.<\/p>\n
